NEWS ABOUT DATE OF REUNION- october appears to be a very busy month in daytona so we are not sure wether we will move the reunion to september or november or keep it in october but move to a nearby city- decision to be made later

2ndn BUD MARCUM REUNION

Initial plans are underway for the 2nd Bud Marcum Basketball Reunion. We need imput from you guys. Choice of city is Daytona Beach because coach lives there. Question Of The Day -do you want to meet again in the early summer of '07 or October '07 ? Let me know your thought. Perhaps oct. is better -it gives us more time.
The 1st Bud Marcum Basketball Reunion was held in lauderdale this past oct. and some of the players from '58-'61 were there. They were Jose Auffant , Gary Barber , Butch Clary , Ron Hawks , John Gettinger , Vernon Rogers , Tom Tedder , Mike Grizzle and Ron Thomas along with coach Marcum. We had dinner , drinks , shared lives , shared lies and had a Great Time . We were also in touch with Larry Millikan , John Hursey , George Moore , Dave Kelmanson and Roger Steimle but they were unable to attend .Afterwards we decided to meet again and to see how many ole dragon hoopsters , who played for Bud , we could find and invite . So here we go -------Coach Marcum sent me a list from his yearbooks 1960-1971 . However , we are missing the years of '62 , 65 ,69 ,and 70 . As our group grows perhaps we can give back to Bud or Stranahan in some way - perhaps coaches favorite charity or to a present Stranahan player or some one in our own organization. Just an idea----
